Financial viability

Under LAL/PKC:

  • Running costs c £28k
  • Income < £4K

Under DHG:

  • Running costs £14K + staff
  • Income Phase 1 > £14K

Future Costings

Based on current usage (inc Childcare), hall rate ~ £18/h

Aim to make building more attractive to increase use (to fund staff, offset hourly rate and/or fund improvements).

New clubs and initiatives

  • Youth forum => clubs (film, music, theatre)
  • Table tennis, Pickleball, Tai chi, dance classes
  • More dances and concerts
  • Bingo teas, coffee mornings
  • Childcare (daily wraparound + holiday clubs)

Repair and refurbishment priorities

  • Priority and 'early-bird' for events
